Charushree is a North Indian classical singer from the Mewati Gharana, specializing in Khayal singing. She has trained under renowned musicians     including Tripti Mukherjee, Pandit Jasraj and Dr Karhade (former principal of Gandharva Mahavidyalay, Hyderabad).  

 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

 

                                     

 

 

Performed at a Jazz club at Harvard Square (Boston) with Jazz band ‘Natraj’

 

Composed and presented music for a dance –theatre piece presented at the Interface World Music Festival – Kolkata, India. 

 

Performed with an Indonesian Gamelan Group from the University of Pittsburgh.

 

Composed and presented music for a Dance collaboration between American Dance Company (Mary Miller dance co) and Odissi dance from India.                 

 

Composed and presented music for a Dance-Drama between Indonesian and Indian dancers depicting the story of the great Indian epic ‘Ramayana’ hosted

 by university of Pittsburgh.

 

Performed with a Jazz Saxophonist at Andy Warhol museum (Pittsburgh).
